I have had severe insomnia since I was about 7. Now I;m almost 15. I have to take meds, other wise I would be up for days. It’s like I am tired but can’t sleep. My body is tired but my mind is not. I have been a very intectual person since about the age of 4. My mind doesn’t sleep. The meds make my mind tired.

      Your videos are …
Your videos are great Sadie. I used the block (well a brick) and then realised that rolling my back side to side against the floor would massage my middle back!! Doing this a few times a day has made a huge difference to my back pain and reduced the unstability of my middle back. This is by far the best thing I’ve come across to self treat my mid back (it works much better than rolling up and down.)

thanks Sadie your a star (and of course I can now sleep better because pain is much less!)

Thanks – your explanations are so good, teaching us things I’ve never heard other yogis talk about before. I will keep trying small things you suggest as my back settles down and my heart opens up (the other side of my problem I’m sure). Wish you were teaching in England – lucky New Yorkers. I’m sure your You tube audience will get even bigger
      keep on flowing

Watch my Sandstorm Meditation video, and look above to get the Twilight Mini. Also, if you can’t sleep, get up and do some yoga to reset your adrenals and central nervous system. It really helps me, a total night owl. Instead of tossing and turning, get some exercise!

      I would couple the …
I would couple the yoga with taking what your doctor recommends, to get sleeping. Then look at your lifestyle, your ability to process stress, your diet, and see where any imbalances are you can correct over time. Ultimately, learn yoga, meditation, do it regularly, and let a more balanced lifestyle take over for the meds if possible. Keep in communication with your doctor, though, and don’t do anything radical with the medication, going off it.
